Jeff Bedard

Jeff Bedard is the head coach of Reinhardt's inaugural wrestling team. As an athlete, Bedard had a very decorated career. He was a 3-time HS state champion (GA and Michigan), a two time HS All-American, and 2-time Georgia wrestler of the year. He was also a 2-time All-American for Carson Newman. While winning the NAIA National Championship he was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler and recorded the most falls. Internationally Coach Bedard won the Military World Championships, was a 6-time US Open All-American, Sunkist Open Champion and 4-Time NYAC Champion. He has coached 2 college national champions and 27 All-Americans. Additionally, he coached 3 Georgia HS state championship teams and was named Georgia coach of the year.

Jeff has one daughter, Gabrielle.

Assistant Coach
Matthew Pitts

Matt Pitts is an assistant coach on Reinhardt's inaugural wrestling team.

As an athlete, Pitts was a 3-time NCAA Division I qualifier for Coach Terry Brands at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He recorded over 100 wins, was 3-time all-Southern Conference, named freshman of the year, and was runner-up at the University World Freestyle Team Trials. Pitts was also a 2-time Georgia HS state champion and USA All-American. Coach Pitts is founder of the Grindhouse wrestling club which has crowned 61 individual Team GA State Champions and 5x Team State Championships. He was also assistant coach at Baylor HS (TN) winning 5 dual and traditional state championships. Coach Pitts was recently inducted into the Gordon Central and the Calhoun/Gordon County Halls of Fame.
