Maine Track and Field Clinic

General Information

Time: 1pm - 3pm
Overview: Each clinic will be 2 hours in length in order to accommodate athletes that want to do multiple events and for those that want more in depth knowledge into a particular event. You will be able to chose a maximum of 2 events per clinic. This will ensure that you get the most out of each session with our coaches and athletes. 

  • The clinic will be divided into 3 parts:
  • Team warm up (all event groups)
         - Learn how to properly warm up for a training session
         - Our team will bring you through a specific routine that we do in order to reduce injuries and enhance performance
  • Event Group Session 1
         - Break up into event groups
         - Specific drills will be introduced and taught
         - Improve your technique in the sprints, jumps, hurdles and throws
  • Event Group Session 2
         - You can either stay in your event group or branch out into a different event
    Jumps- High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault (Athletes will be required to bring helmets and it is suggested that athletes bring their own poles.)
    Sprints- 55m through the 400m
    Hurdles- 55m hurdles
    Throws- Shot Put and Weight Throw (High school athletes only)
