Summer 2018 Virginia Lacrosse Camp F.A.Q.'s
What do I need to do prior to camp?
Tuition: Full tuition (varies for day/overnight camper) is due upon registration to maintain your place in camp., Please contact us if this presents a problem.
Medical form: Is completed during the course of registration. Please also submit a photocopy (both sides) of health insurance card to us via email at email@example.com
Camp is open to rising 6ht- through rising 12th-grade boys. In order to prevent over-crowding of facilities, as well as to maintain the level of instruction, enrollment will be limited. Applicants will be accepted in the order of applications received. NCAA regulations prohibit free/reduced camp admission for prospect-aged campers. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only be number, age, grade level and/or gender).
Will the camp dates change?
The camp dates for 2018 will NOT change from June 18-21, 2018. We have zero flexibility in changing the dates of the camps since the fields and dorms are booked for camps by the other 22 varsity athletic teams at the University of Virginia.
What's the best way to get to camp if not driving?
The closest airport is Charlottesville/Albemarle (CHO). It is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride to Grounds.
There in an Amtrak station nearby (CVS). It is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to Grounds.
Where and when is registration?
Where: Registration will be near the Lambeth Commons in the Lambeth Field Apartments.

When: Monday, June 18, 2:00-4:00pm. Camp will begin with dinner, followed by our first field session.
What do I need to bring to camp?
Campers must supply their own lacrosse equipment. In addition, pack and bring: Alarm clock, mouthguard (required), lacrosse cleats, plenty of athletic clothing (socks, jocks, t-shirts, shorts), sneakers or turf shoes, towels, soap/shampoo/body wash, pillow, linens (Twin XL), and blanket or sleeping bag for your bed. The camp store in the dorm area will bank spending money and hold car keys for the duration of camp. Sneakers will be used during play on the Field Hockey turf (if field is utilized)- ensure that they are sufficiently supportive.
What are the camp rules?
Campers will be charged for any damage caused to UVA dorm rooms or facilities. Please bring any damage noticed upon check-in to the attention of the staff.
Any camper discovered away from the dorm/athletic areas being used by the camp without permission will be sent home immediately.
No cleats or ball playing in the dorms
No camper should be in another camper's room without permission.
Any alcohol or illegal substance will be brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities
Upon check-out, please return you own keys. Replacement costs will be charged for any keys not returned on the 22nd. ($225 per set)
Any disruptive behavior or serious breach of camp rules will result in immediate expulsion from camp. We expect a great week and that common sense and respect will rule the day.
The first meal will be served Monday evening and the last meal will be Thursday breakfast. Campers MUST attend all meals for the duration of the camp. Campers will have the option to order pizza to eat after the evening session.
Meals are included in the tuition for day campers.

How do I know if there is still space available?
We still have openings available in the YOUTH and HIGH SCHOOL groups.
