The Developmental Baseball Camp offers both a overnight option and commuter option. Players will be instructed in all phases of the game of baseball. Games will be played each day with emphasis on the instruction taught during the camp. The 11-15 year old age group is a critical period in a players development. The skills developed during these years will serve as the foundation for future development in high school and beyond. Players will leave this camp with techniques to help develop their skills to the next level and begin the process of maximizing their potential.
Session Dates and Times:
Players will be grouped age appropriately.
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, hat and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided if a player does not have his own. Every camper in attendance will be given a UVa Baseball t-shirt to be worn during the camp. However, all campers must bring their own baseball pants. The University of Virginia Baseball Program and Atlantic Coast Camps will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Accommodations for Parents:
***In accordance with the rules of the NCAA, camp is open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
The Developmental Baseball Camp will take place on the grounds of the University of Virginia, utilizing the indoor facilities at Davenport Field, The Park and other facilities on grounds. Due to an extensive Stadium Expansion Project to Davenport Field, we will have limited access to the field itself. Our indoor facilities at Davenport Field (indoor cages, locker room, team meeting room, weight room, etc.) will all be available at full use. We have secured multiple turf fields and baseball fields around grounds and the area to continue to give a great experience to our campers.
